Unfortunately, after completing my foundation year, I found my motivation lacking. Often finding myself away from the ceramic studio my professors and I decided it would be best if I chose a profession that keeps my interest and is something I enjoy. I will be opening an Etsy store with my business partner and we will be selling handmade items and shipping them all across North America.

First Step in My Online Journey
Hello, and welcome! My name is Karolyn Paige Rideout-Guptill, but I go by Paige. I am, as of March 16, 2014, twenty years of age. I am a woman who loves working with my hands, something I have always loved since I was a small child. A few interesting things of note about me:
-I love reading. My favourite book is written by John Wyndham entitled The Chrysalids.
-I am a fan of Dreamworks How to Train Your Dragon, based on the series by Cressida Cowell of the same name.
-I have dirty blonde-brown hair and blue eyes.
-I have a form of high-functioning autism called Asperger's Syndrome. I was diagnosed at the age of thirteen, which answered a lot of questions I had.
-I am an avid writer, and am currently working on a novel that I hope to one day publish.
I believe anyone can create beautiful works of art. My inspiration comes from anything that leaves most people annoyed, but for me makes me wonder. For example, when some people see a fellow person singing on the streets, they see someone who is desperate for attention, homeless, or otherwise in a bad situation. I, however, see the human behind the pain, and it inspires me to create anything that represents beauty from a trying time. To quote an ancient Chinese proverb, "The flower that blooms in adversity, is the most rare and beautiful of all."
